 D. M. Therrell School of Law, Government and Public Policy

Our center focus is to develop critical thinking skills necessary for success in college and the workplace. These skills include problem-solving, logical reasoning, oration and critical reading and writing. Teachers and staff are employing an inquiry-based approach to learning in which students are encouraged to construct knowledge and develop skills through authentic problem-solving and performance-based tasks. Particular emphasis is being placed on developing connections between content and disciplines through interdisciplinary planning and external experiences such as community service, mentoring and internships in local colleges/universities, law firms and social justice organizations.
